2.1. Basic
You can turn pages in a variety of ways.
     
  • Swipe screen
  •  
  • Tap right side to go next page
  •  
  • Tap top left on the screen to go first page
  •  
  • Slide a bottom page slider to go to any page

2.2. Page turning layout
The piaScore enables you to turn page freely. We recommend 1 Page on portrait view, Scroll or 2 Pages on landscape view.
     
  1. Tap Page on the bottom toolbar of score view
  2. Certain Turning is selected
  3.  
  4. Tap any layout button to change layout    
           
    • 1 page : Turn 1 page
    •      
    • Scroll : Automatic vertical page scrolling
    •      
    • Half : Turn 1/2 page (portrait view only)
    •      
    • 2 Page : Turn 2 pages (landscape view only)
    •

  6. To change the score page turning animation, tap each animation button    
           
    • Scroll : Scroll vertically
    •      
    • Stack : Stacked page
    •      
    • 1-2 / 2-3 : One page turning (landscape and 2 pages viewing only)

2.3. Automatic vertical scrolling
Auto vertical scrolling is very useful when using both hands as playing a musical instrument. With automatic vertical scrolling, score page turning is unnecessary. Of course, the scroll speed can be freely changed.
     
  1. Tap Page on the bottom toolbar of score view
  2.  
  3. Tap Scroll, then you can see "Auto page turning speed" view
  4.  
  5. Tap on the view
  6.  
  7. To change speed, swipe speed slider or tap Timer icon on the view to set duration

2.4. Performance mode
By preventing to show the menu at tapping the screen, you can to avoid the malfunction at the time of performance.
  1. Tap Peformance on the bottom tool bar in sheet music view
  2. Then the app can't to show menu
  3. To finish performance mode, please tap X button on the top right of screen

2.5. Bluetooth page turner (such as AirTurn)
By using the bluetooth pedal device such as AirTurn, you can turn page by pushing foot pedal.
     
  1. At AirTurn store , please purchase a foot pedal, such as AirTurn PED
  2.  
  3. Please connect device to iPad (see device's manual)
  4.  
  5. By pressing the foot pedal, you will be able to turn next page
  6.  
  7. If the pedal doesn't work, please refer to the following page      

2.6. Synchronization page turning between devices
Across multiple devices, you can synchronize the score page turning, the song selection.
     
  1. Tap piaScore's Setting button
  2.  
  3. Tap Sync page turning
  4. Tap Lead or Follow
  5.  
  6. If there is one lead and one or more followers, it will connect automatically
  7.  
  8. Following the connection, the follow-up of the score sheet turning and song selection operation of the lead follows
  9.  
  10. An alert appears on the lead side to send a song that is not on the follow side to the lead
  11.  
  12. To disconnect, please tap Sync page turning in setting

2.7. Remote page turning (piaScore Air)
By using a dedicated remote page turning application (piaScore Air), you will be able to turn a page from remote.
     
  1. Download piaScore Air
  2.  
  3. Tap Connecting to piaScore Air in piaScore's setting
  4.  
  5. Turn on switch on the bottom of piaScore Air
  6.  
  7. Select device on piaSocre's alert
  8.  
  9. After connecting, you can turn page remotely

3. Page Tools
3.1. Bookmark
By setting a bookmark, you will be able to easily jump to a favorite page.
     
  1. Tap Bookmark on the bottom toolbar of score view
  2.  
  3. To add bookmark, tap + button on the top left of popover
  4.  
  5. To import table of contents (bookmarks) from file, tap Import button on the top left of popover
  6.  
  7. To delete bookmark, swipe left list (like Mail app)

3.2. Adjustment of the page (zooming, rotation)
In some of the music, there is a case top, bottom, left and right margins are large. By deleting the margin in piaScore, it can be displayed larger. You can also rotation of the score.
     
  • When enlarging all pages    
           
    1. Tap Adjust Page in the toolbar below the score view
    2.      
    3. Adjust by moving the slider
    4.      
    5. To save, tap the screen
    6.    
     
  •  
  • When enlarging and rotating an arbitrary page    
           
    1. Tap Adjust Page in the toolbar below the score view
    2.      
    3. Tap Adjust this page
    4.      
    5. Expanded by pinched out of displayed page
    6.      
    7. Tilt adjustment at the top, and rotation with the tap of the right rotation icon
    8.    
     

3.3. Start page at 2 page display (left and right page)
By setting start page to "Right", 1st page start right side and you can view page 2-3 at the same time.
     
  1. Tap Page on the bottom toolbar in sheet music view
  2.  
  3. Tap Ordering
  4.  
  5. Tap Left or Right
  6.  
  7. To set initial state, tap Free

3.4. Changing the order of page
You can erase any page or change the order.
     
  1. Tap Page on the bottom toolbar in sheet music view
  2.  
  3. Tap Ordering
  4.  
  5. Tap Change page ordering
  6.  
  7. To hide the page, tap X on the top right of the page image
  8.  
  9. To change the order of pages, press and hold the page to move
  10.  
  11. To duplicate a page, tap + under the page image
  12.  
  13. To add a page, tap + on the bottom right of the screen
  14.  
  15. To end editing, tap Save at the top right of the screen

3.5. Jump between pages
It is convenient for repeat etc., you can set button to jump to any page with one tap.
     
  1. Tap Page in the toolbar below the score view
  2.  
  3. Tap Jump
  4.  
  5. Tap Edit page jump point
  6.  
  7. Set the position of the jump button to the left page, set the jump destination to the right page
  8.  
  9. Tap Add jump button at the bottom of the screen
  10.  
  11. To delete the jump button, tap X on the button or tap Delete all at the top left of the screen
  12.  
  13. To end editing, tap Save at the top right of the screen

3.6. Export to other apps (e-mail and print)
You can e-mail or print PDF file with writing.
     
  1. Tap Information in the toolbar below the score view
  2.  
  3. Tap Mail/Print on the bottom right
  4.  
  5. Tap PDF file only or PDF file with writing
  6.  
  7. Specify a range of pages, and tap Share, print, mail or Copy in the app
  8.  
  9. If you tap Share, print, mail, tap destination device (AirDrop), or app

4. Get sheet music
You can get a score in a variety of ways.
4.1. Free classical sheet music
The piaScore uses IMSLP Petrucci database to search and get classical sheet music. You can get a huge number of classical sheet music for free.
     
  1. Tap Download on catalog tab
  2.  
  3. Tap Free classical sheet music
  4.  
  5. Enter keyword (ex. composer name, work name) and search
  6.  
  7. Select work that you want to get
  8.  
  9. Select file version that you want to get
  10.  
  11. Start downloading

4.2. Store
The piaScore offer any Pop songs, guitar songs and piano sheet music.
     
  1. Tap Download on catalog tab
  2.  
  3. Tap Store
  4.  
  5. Login
  6.  
  7. You can purchase sheet music

4.3. Cloud (Dropbox, Google Drive and iCloud)
If you use a cloud file sharing service such as Dropbox, Google Drive and iCloud, you can download sheet music files (pdf) from these services.
     
  1. Tap Download on catalog tab
  2.  
  3. Tap Cloud
  4.  
  5. Select service
  6.  
  7. Login service
  8.  
  9. Search files
  10.  
  11. Tap file, and then start downloading
  12.  
  13. If you want to download all files in a directory, tap Download icon (cloud) on the left of list

4.4. Capturing from paper
Probably you have many paper sheet music. The piaScore provides capturing method them into the app.
  1. Tap Download on catalog tab
  2.  
  3. Tap Camera capture
  4.  
  5. To capture using the camera, tap Camera on the top toolbar
  6.  
  7. To import from "Photo" in the iPad / iPhone, tap Album on the top toolbar, select the image, and finally tap + button on the top right
  8.  
  9. To change the order, long press the page image, move
  10.  
  11. To rotate the page, rotate the page image with two fingers
  12. To save, tap Save on the top right of view

4.5. Transfer from PC (iTunes file sharing)
You can transfer a sheet music files (pdf) to the app from the PC directly.
     
  1. Connect iPad / iPhone to PC
  2.  
  3. Launch iTunes on the PC
  4.  
  5. Select "piaScore" from "iTunes file sharing"
  6.  
  7. Drag and drop files to the right pane
  8.  
  9. To delete files on device using iTunes file sharing, please press "Del key" or "delete key"

4.6. Transfer from other apps (Open In "piaScore")
You can transfer files from web browser and other apps, such as Safari to piaScore.
     
  1. Open music score file (PDF) with web browser etc.
  2.  
  3. In the case of Safari (Web browser), tap the screen. Open in "piaScore" in the upper right corner is    
           
    • is displayed, tap it
    •      
    • is not displayed, tap More... on the upper left and select Copy to piaScore
    •    
     

5. Writing
You can write freely with 4 types (iPad) pens that can change color, thickness and brush tip. Moreover, since it is possible to input stamps such as dynamics signs and characters, you can easily write them.

To write, tap Writing on the bottom toolbar in the score view or press and hold the score view.
To finish writing, tap X button on the right of the writing toolbar.
5.1. Pen
     
  1. Tap Writing on the bottom toolbar in the score view
  2.  
  3. Tap pen icon (◯) on the toolbar
  4.  
  5. If you want to change the pen color, tap pen icon twice

5.2. Stamp
Stamp is convenient tool for inputting finger number, notes and an accidentals.
  1. Tap Writing on the bottom toolbar in the score view
  2.  
  3. Tap Stamp on the writing toolbar
  4.  
  5. Select the stamp
  6.  
  7. Input the stamp to the screen

5.3. Text
You can put text on the score.
  1. Tap Writing on the bottom toolbar in the score view
  2. Tap Text on the writing toolbar
  3.  
  4. Tap the screen where you want to place the text
  5.  
  6. Input text
  7.  
  8. To change the format of text, tap Text button twice or tap Style on the soft keyboard

5.4. Shape
You can write a shape such as the arrow and staff.
  1. Tap Writing on the bottom toolbar in the score view
  2. Tap Shape on the writing toolbar
  3.  
  4. Select the diagram, color, the thickness you want to write
  5.  
  6. Draw shapes by dragging screen

5.5. Eraser
  1. Tap Writing on the bottom toolbar in the score view
  2. Tap Erase on the writing toolbar
  3.  
  4. To change the size of the eraser, tap Erase button twice

5.6. Undo / redo
  1. Tap Writing on the bottom toolbar in the score view
  2. Tap Undo / Redo on the writing toolbar

5.7. Moving toolbar
You can move the toolbar to up / down.
  1. Tap Writing on the bottom toolbar in the score view
  2. Slide button on the writing toolbar

5.8. Delete all writing
  1. Tap Writing on the bottom toolbar in the score view
  2. Tap Erase on the writing toolbar twice
  3.  
  4. Tap All pages, or This page

6. Catalog
6.1. Sorting sheet music
You can change the order of musical score in order of access, title order, artist name.
     
  1. Tap ... on the top right of the catalog
  2.  
  3. Select Recent, Title, Artistt in "SORT" section

6.2. Switching of the display (grid, list)
You can change the display method of the catalog.
  1. Tap ... on the top right of the catalog
  2. Select Grid, List in "VIEW MODE" section

6.3. Search sheet music in app
Search keywords in music scores in the application. For the search, we will use the song title.
  1. Tap Magnifying glass icon on the top of the catalog
  2.  
  3. Enter a keyword into search box
  4.  
  5. If you want to reset the keywords, tap Cancel on the right search box

7. Edit
7.1. Delete sheet music
  1. Tap ... on the top right of the catalog
  2.  
  3. Tap Select / Delete sheet music
  4.  
  5. Select sheet music you want to delete
  6.  
  7. Tap Delete

7.2. Edit title, artist, composer
The app enables you to change a title, composer name freely.
  1. Tap Info on the bottom tool bar in sheet music view
  2.  
  3. Tap Edit
  4.  
  5. Enter title, select artist etc.
  6.  
  7. Tap Save

7.3. Change bookcover
You can change the cover image of your choice as.
  1. Tap Info on the bottom tool bar in sheet music view
  2.  
  3. Tap bookcover image
  4.  
  5. Select photos, scores or preset bookcovers

8. Tag
Tag is an annotation to sheet music such as"Practice","Romantic","2015 Summer Live" and so on. It likes"Folder". By adding tag, you can manage sheet music easily.
8.1. Select tag
  1. Tap the #Tag on the top left of the catalog
  2. Select a tag from the tag list displayed on the left
  3. You can narrow down by selecting multiple tags

8.2. Add or remove tags
  1. Tap the #Tag on the top left of the catalog
  2.  
  3. To add, tap + at the top, input tag name, select score, and tap Save
  4. To delete, tap Edit at the top, select the tag, and tap Delete

8.3. To add a score to tag
  1. Tap the #Tag on the top left of the catalog
  2. Tap Edit on the top
  3. Tap Pencil icon on the right of the tag you want to edit
  4. Add / delete sheet music, tap Save on the upper right of screen
  5. Tap Done on the top of tag list view

8.4. Tag score
  1. Tap Info on the bottom tool bar in sheet music view
  2. Enter "tag name" in "Add tag"
  3. Select from the candidates displayed below, or press Done on the right of the keyboard
  4. To delete tag, tap the black tag name and tap Delete

9. Setlist
Setlist is similar to "Tag". "Setlist" have ordering, so you can create new piece by combining some files.
9.1. Add setlist
     
  1. Tap Setlist
  2.  
  3. Tap + on the upper right corner
  4.  
  5. Enter the setlist name, select the score
  6.  
  7. Tap Save

9.2. Delete setlist
  1. Tap Setlist
  2.  
  3. Swipe setlist cell to left that you want to delete
  4.  
  5. Tap Trash can icon
  6.  
  7. Tap Delete on alert

9.3. Edit setlist
  1. Tap Setlist
  2. Swipe setlist cell to left that you want to edit
  3.  
  4. Tap Pencil icon
  5.  
  6. After editing, tap Save on the upper right

9.4. Share setlist
  1. Tap Setlist
  2. Swipe setlist cell to left that you want to share
  3. Tap Share icon
  4.  
  5. Select from below :    
           
    • Text list : Share the list of songs in the setlist as text
    • Setlist only : Only the order of songs will be shared to another piaScore (excluding files)
    • Including sheet music : Share setlist including PDF (not including writing or tag)    
     

10. Music tool
10.1. Music player
This music player is for listening background music with playing music. The music player is related with iTunes.
  1. Show menu bar by tapping score view
  2. Tap Music button on the left toolbar
  3. Tap iTunes to set songs of iTunes, or tap Audio file to set MP3 / CAF format files put in piaScore
  4. Select music
  5. Tap to play music
  6. To play repeatedly, tap Repeat icon on the right of player

10.2. Keyboard
This virtual piano keyboard is useful for playing music.
     
  1. Show menu bar by tapping score view
  2.  
  3. Tap Keyboard button on the left toolbar
  4.  
  5. To change size, tap Resize icon on the top of keyboard

10.3. Tuner
This is chromatic instrument tuner. It's very high accuracy.
     
  1. Show menu bar by tapping score view
  2.  
  3. Tap Tuner button on the left toolbar
  4.  
  5. To turn tuner on, tap Tuner icon on the left of the tuner body
  6.  
  7. To turn sound (pitch pipe) on, tap Sound icon on the right of the tuner body

10.4. Recorder
You can export audio file (*.caf) via iTunes file sharing, sharing.
     
  1. Show menu bar by tapping score view
  2.  
  3. Tap Recorder button on the left toolbar
  4.  
  5. To record a sound, tap Record button
  6.  
  7. To play a sound, tap Play button
  8.  
  9. To delete a sound file, swipe it to left and tap Trash can icon
  10. To send via email or export to other app, swipe it to left and tap Share icon

10.5. Movie
You can watch a movie related with sheet music.
     
  1. Show menu bar by tapping score view
  2.  
  3. Tap Movie button on the left toolbar
  4.  
  5. Select movie and tap Play button

10.6. Metronome
This classical metronome is useful for practice. Unlike real metronome, the metronome has visual (silent) mode.
  1. Show menu bar by tapping score view
  2. Tap Metronome button on the left toolbar
  3.  
  4. To start / stop metronome, tap upper half of metronome
  5. To change tempo, slide weight up / down, tap - / + button
  6. To set tempo directly, tap Tempo number area (see movie)
